The Microsoft One Commercial Partner (OCP) organization plays a critical role in Microsoft’s cloud growth by helping partners: build solutions on the Microsoft cloud; acquire new cloud customers; and Co-sell with Microsoft sales teams.

 

At the center of OCP is the Go-To-Market (GTM) Organization, which is responsible for driving new and innovative Go-To-Market strategies across Microsoft’s ecosystem. The GTM team is looking for a talented Sr. Partner/Channel Marketing Manager to lead Partner Incentives as part of the Partner Investments Team.

 

The Partner Investments Team focuses on enabling Partner acceleration through the design, landing and in-market execution of US Partner investments, offers and incentives, across full customer journey.

Responsibilities

  • Plan: Develop local incentive and campaign offerings based on subsidiary strategic direction, market trends, and partner behavior modification impact through engagement and input from segment leads, GTM, and build with leads. Ensure offerings are legal, compliant and supported by sound operational practices.
  • Land: Effectively communicate and land the plan and execution of incentive with partners and the Microsoft field. Conduct regular readiness calls with all partner communities and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage: Active governance on all SMSG global + local incentives/campaigns and offers. Lead continued readiness efforts, build out supporting resources for partners and the field including earnings examples, FAQs. Support 2nd tier escalations ongoing across all programs including understanding detailed policies, program rules, eligibility criteria, calculation explanations and coordinating with the Corporate Channel Incentives team.
  • Build out surrounding holistic profitability story to support and demonstrate value of partnering with Microsoft including incentives, marketing, offers and services.
  • Develop and execute a quality Rhythm of the Business (ROB) process across Partner business
  • Influence WW strategy for Partner Incentives to insure support and alignment for US priorities.
  • Internal alignment across corporate and area/sub execs driving PI discussion inside PLT
  • Drive optimized budget utilization to ensure maximum impact on area/sub targets and fiscal year planning process including business plan, budget, and operations
  • Drive MBR and scorecard process, data accuracy and liaise with US and other WW stakeholders; Analysis - review and aggregate incentives monthly reporting and QBR format within Area leadership, and roll up into Corp (example: partner, subsidiary and program reporting)
  • Coordinate all aspects of team communication across M&O, OCP, and WW insuring long term business strategy is reviewed and updated.
  • Leverage data analysis and business intelligence to drive decisions.
  • Own drive special projects as dictated by needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in analytical modeling and frameworks as well as experience in driving long term strategies.

  • Strong partner business model expertise required
  • 5-8 years’ experience in channel marketing or partner sales with proven results
  • Deep ecosystem & market insight, including the competitor landscape, knowledge of partner business models, the Microsoft Partner Network; priority workload growth opportunities and Microsoft channel incentives
  • Deep marketing insight and expertise in developing, executing and monitoring strategic business and marketing plans against standard campaigns that deliver outstanding return on investment (ROI) and drive impact
