The System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) team in Microsoft delivers enterprise device management, updates management, application management, and settings management solutions. SCCM offers solutions for managing clients in an enterprise space by helping enterprise IT administrators with Asset management, License tracking, software distribution, operating system deployment, user state migration, secure configuration\compliance, end point malware protection, end point security policy and troubleshooting of corporate laptops, desktops, virtual desktop, smart phones and other devices within the corporate network or over the internet. SCCM is a market leader in enterprise change & configuration management with a client count of about 140 million devices and accounts for managing 85% of all the Windows devices. SCCM is part of the Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS), one of the fastest growing enterprise services and Microsoft 365.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of talented, motivated engineers to define deliverables and schedules based on cross team feature requirements and dependencies
- Author designs, implement code, and debug issues with your team
- Push quality upstream by incorporating Azure Portal or other automation frameworks into the components/services your team owns;
- Develop, mentor, and provide growth guidance to engineers on your team.
Qualifications
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping apps and/or services.
- Excellent technical design skills and proven ability to drive large scale system designs for complex projects or products
- Proven track record as a strong and effective engineering manager – 3+ years of experience leading and growing successful teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with any of the following engineering areas: Azure Portal Fx and/or UI Extensions, accessibility, localization/globalization.
- Experience in developing large-scale services
- Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript or Angular JS
