Lenovo is looking for an entrepreneurial, highly self-motivated, visionary
Product Manager that is passionate about AI / Big Data and the opportunity it
provides to deliver innovative and differentiated solutions to our customers.
As a Product Manager, you are a pragmatic visionary that can understand and
translate customer needs (sometimes before the customers themselves realize
they have that need) into requirements that drive the development of an AI
based software platform solution. Also, you need to be a pragmatic visionary
that can understand and translate customer needs into requirements that drive
the development of AI based software platform solutions.
Product Manager is a leading role in our Cloud Software business
transformation, and key part of software product leadership team. You are
experienced Product Manager and skilled Scrum practitioner with proven record
of leading and driving successful software products/solutions and have ability
to think outside the box to create innovative and differentiated solutions
that will shake the technology market.
The Product Manager is responsible to lead and drive product vision, roadmap
and development including the coordination with key stakeholders within Lenovo
and outside partners. This includes a close collaboration with development
teams to align User Stories and product requests with business value while
ensuring that the customer needs are met. You work with customers, field
representatives, marketing, and executive leadership and represent the voice
of the customer. You are also responsible to evangelize product vision and
strategy inside and outside Lenovo. As a Product Manager, you will also own
responsibility for the go-to-market plan and final release approval on product
quality & feature acceptance criteria to ensure we deliver the best experience
possible for our customers. In addition to product delivery, product manager
builds and delivers business case and manage your product’s P/L.
Key Responsibilities
Resident expert in AI solutions with detailed knowledge of state of the art
technologies and products in this domain including competitive landscape
• Own product vision, strategy, Business Case and competitive analysis
• Own product roadmap, identify and document Use Cases and User Stories that
will define product delivery priorities and timeline
• Drive product development by working closely with engineering, data science
team and other stakeholders on product delivery in agile environment
• Manage backlog of competing feature requests by evaluating the business
value of each, and prioritizing dev team work.
• Document customer needs in the form of epics and user stories in agile
manner to create innovative and differentiated solutions
• Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to align on
hardware & software product synergies and marketing plans.
• Ensure that prioritized solutions are delivered in a timely manner and
within budget.
• Strategize with product management and stakeholders on issues related to
product requests, vision and overall business value.
• Lead concept development, implementation and rollout of offerings with all
stakeholders
• Own Go to Market strategy and work with Marketing and sales teams to
communicate value to customers
#### Position Requirements:
Basic Requirements;
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related
field
• 5+ years of Product Management / Product Owner experience for software
products/solutions
• 3 + years of Product Management / Product Owner experience for AI
products/solutions
Preferred Experience;
• Experience with Agile software development (familiarity with JIRA /
Confluence preferred)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience driving complex software solutions that requires influencing
cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, hands-on individual
• Demonstrated commitment to learning about AI through your own initiatives
through courses, books, or side projects.
• Basic statistics skills acquired through academic study (i.e. math, computer
science, engineering, economics, physics) or comparable work experience.
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or similar), microservices
architecture, and container management (Docker/Kubernetes) strongly desired.
• Experience with content management platforms is a plus
• Domestic and International travel up to 20%
