Primary focus with New Product Introduction. Candidate will be the Quality Engineering representative and must be active participant within core development teams to launch semi-conductor products such as: RF Transceiver, Power Management, RF Front End, Codec, Digital, etc. Ensure that Quality Engineering deliverables are met in terms of Reliability, Supplier Processes readiness, Customer RMAs readiness, and Product Readiness. Candidate will work with the extended QRE organization, Packaging, Product and Test Engineering, Systems, Design, Marketing, Customer/Applications Engineering, Operations, etc. to make sure Lessons Learned/Corrective and Preventative Actions are applied upstream during product development. Candidate will also focus on developing and executing Outgoing QA AQL Sampling plan with Supplier. Will also work closely with Yield Management, Packaging, PTE and SQE to disposition lots that trigger Quality Control Limits. Candidate will be responsible for the product from cradle to grave while leading technical and business team of resolution of escalated Quality excursions in High Volume Manufacturing. Lead team to contain and disposition factory excursions and Non-Conforming product in a timely and cost-effective manner. Represent PQE as necessary in PRB and CCB - Pre-production check list review and Gate review highlighting major product risk - Engage supplier and internal teams for qualification programs and excursion management. - Implement ongoing quality improvement processes by working with internal and external parties on NCs that require material disposition, drive action plans to completion, CAPA and MRB Driver Support supplier quality engineering in meeting product specification and process control requirements. - Support and provide guidance to engineering on the quality assessment and potential risks of the NPI and PCNs. Evaluate new technologies for supplier and customer manufacturing sensitivities in terms of EOS/ESD, MSL, SMT, etc. Provide technical guidance to RMA Engineering and Customer Quality Engineering. Interface with Customer and Supplier as needed.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

5+ years Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance experience or related work experience.

2+ years experience with Statistical Process Control

1+ years in Mobile Industry with primary focus on Test Engineering, Applications Engineering, RFA/Digital Systems Performance testing.

Quality/Engineering function in semiconductor, mobile or related industry. - Hands on knowledge/application of quality tools, statistics and problem solving techniques. - Handset systems operation and testing knowledge highly desirable. - Demonstrated proficiency in the following soft skills: being proactive and taking initiative to drive issue resolution; having a teachable attitude; being a team player - Strong verbal and written communication skills - ability to clearly organize and articulate information - persuasive skills to deal with selling difficult information. - Strong presentation skills. Handset systems understanding - high level understanding of the systems required to build a mobile device - high level understanding of the key components such as RF Transceiver, Power Management, Codec. Modems, etc and how they are expected to interact - understanding what certain failure symptoms point to in terms of areas contributing to customer issues. - General understanding of full breadth of engineering skills to enable interaction with the variety of engineers that will be dealt with during the debug of an issue. - Fab and SAT hands on experience and ASQ certification are desirable
