As the Senior Engineering Manager of Production Engineering, you will be responsible for: · Leading a high performing team of engineers and technicians enabling the production of one of our flagship diagnostic instrument product lines · Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve production processes, reduce product costs, and ensure customer satisfaction · Supporting in depth technical investigations and resolution of complex problems – in areas of instrumentation including electro-mechanical systems, fluidics, optics, software, etc… · Implementation of engineering design changes – working with cross functional teams to drive timely, cost conscious, effective, and fully manufacturable changes into production and the supply chain seamlessly · Developing and growing the engineering team in areas of technical skill set, system knowledge, continuous improvement, and overall talent realization · Ensuring our production processes consistently allow our instruments to meet or exceed our commitments for Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Safety This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to develop your career with Healthineers · Deep technical knowledge of manufacturing principles in a medical device manufacturing environment – with a focus on Assembly, Integration, and Test · Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and drive cross functional teams in technical problem resolution · Developing collaborative working relationships with a wide range of functions including R&D, Marketing, Product Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, Field Service, & Quality · Continuous improvement methodologies – Structured Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Agile Visual Management · Proficient technical acumen relevant to trouble-shooting Electro-mechanical systems, Precision Fluidics, Photometry/Optics, Software, & other relevant laboratory diagnostic instrumentation sub systems · Knowledge of various manufacturing processes including, but not limited to, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, metal machining, fluidic manifolds, and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) · Strategic big picture thinking balanced with need to execute and deliver in the short term Required skills to have for the success of this role · Experience with managing and leading engineering teams · Excellent Communication Skills - Proven ability to organize and communicate complex information · Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate degree in an applicable engineering field · Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience. · Technical Acumen with extremely complex systems – Laboratory Diagnostic Instrument experience preferred · Ability to transfer knowledge & develop people At Siemens Healthineers, we value those who dedicate their energy and passion to a greater cause.
