Our location in Plano TX, Burlington MA, Sylmar CA or Santa Clara CA currently has an opportunity for a Sr Project Manager Clinical Research to support the Electrophysiology and Heart Failure portfolio of studies. 

This is an individual contributor role requiring comprehensive knowledge and experience in project management of large scale medical device IDE and post market clinical trials.
 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Plan, direct, create and communicate clinical study time-lines.
  • Gather input from cross-functional teams and create plans that help the team produce deliverables on schedule.
  • Ensure consistency of clinical study and processes across clinical trials.
  • Oversee and resolve operational aspects of clinical trials in conjunction with project teams and in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP), good clinical practice (GCP) and specific country regulations.
  • Own and manage clinical trial budget, including scenario analysis, periodic budget reviews and forecasting.
  • Lead team through clinical compliance initiatives and audits.
  • Ensure study is conducted within clinical trial protocols.
  • Monitor progress, proactively identify risks and follow up with team members and line managers when issues develop.
     

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING:

Required

  • Associates Degree and 7 years of experience

Preferred skills/experience/education

  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, health sciences, biostatistics, biological sciences or related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in execution and management of clinical research studies for a medical device.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, experience hosting large project meetings and driving engagement.
  • Effective written communication skills and ability to write professional/technical internal and external communications without oversight.
  • Experience in cardiovascular therapeutic area for both pre-market and post-market clinical trials.
  • Applicable knowledge of clinical trial regulations for both US and OUS.
  • Demonstrated leadership/management skills with respect to achievement of company goals and objectives.
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%, including internationally.
