Job Description
Job Summary This Sr. Quality Transitions Engineer will ensure compliance throughout the organization on major programs from product design through manufacturing and product support. Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of the Quality Assurance Plans / Quality Engineering work. Prepares reports and schedules QA activities within projects. Main leader to ensure quality controls and customer requirements are reviewed and met during the implementation of new product or processes in the organization. Primary Responsibilities Main Point of Contact for customers to ensure communication is established when dealing with integration of new processes. Create and maintains company quality documentation, quality procedures, Quality Control Plans, FAIR plans, guides and participates in development on PFMEA’s. Responsible for the compliance of requirements of new product and processes into the organization and follow through PRO-LUNCH (APQP) activities. Assist Quality manager, in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system. Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc. Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system. Review and approve changes to Drawings, Specifications, Manufacturing Job Instructions, Travelers, etc. to assure continued compliance to approved data. Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns. Lead customer meetings and follow CA implementation Lead Corrective actions and Nonconformance product resolution. Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions. Manage suppliers’ performance and conduct audits. Preparation of QA reports. Any other duties, as assigned. #LI-SL4 Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Ability to work on a variety of problems of diverse scope and complexity where analysis and evaluation of various outcomes require tradeoffs and negotiation. Strong business acumen and strong problem solving skills. Self-motivated, organized, and effectively achieves team and group goals. Proven ability as an independent, objective, open-minded thinker. Proven professional attitude during the execution of an audit or conformity. Problem solving methodology (5 Why’s?, Ishikawa, 8D’s, etc.) Education/Previous Experience Requirements Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent. Minimum 4-5 years of related experience. Familiarity with AS9100 (preferred) or ISO 9000 High-level MS Office computer skills Microsoft Word, Excel and others. English level - Advanced Written and verbal communications skills.
