Job Description

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION


Labbrand is looking for a fast-learning and open-minded Market Research Consultant, based in our Shanghai headquarters. You will help to turn facts and data into valuable insights and information. You will assist to conduct research, process and analyze data for clients’ better understanding, thus facilitating their decision making.



DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES


Thought Leadership:

  • Support other team members to collate examples of best practice for market research projects
  • Provide support to other team members in showcasing our industry-leading perspectives

Client Engagement:

  • Able to play a significant role on proposal-making for market research with input from the Head of the Research Department
  • Identify future opportunities for new business based on learnings from existing projects
  • Build strong relationships with our client contacts and anticipate their needs
  • Convincingly sell the market research design and deliverables
  • Attend client meetings with other team members to record the discussion and assist on follow-ups
  • Support with proposal-making for new business opportunities

Project Excellence:

  • Assist to conduct research fieldwork, design questionnaire/guideline, and so on with a great sense of accountability for project methodology and goal and in respect with time constraints.
  • Make data processing and preliminary data analysis.
  • Work with team to understand client needs and assist the preparation of reports.
  • Coordinate with other departments for cross-department projects.
  • Contribute to conference paper submissions
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy of our results
  • Able to present well-formatted data charts and initial interpretation of what it means

Research Specific:

  • Bachelor degree or above, major in marketing, sociology or humanities, statistics or related field is a plus
  • Related internship or working experience in qualitative/quantitative research is a plus
  • Sense of quality acumen with an attention to details
  • Research thinking and capacity for abstraction
  • Natural ability with numbers
