Job Overview: In this position you will interact with end-customers, automation suppliers, manufacturers, and others at all levels with a focus of driving advanced and emerging Siemen’s technologies into the aerospace and defense sectors. The Siemens Aerospace & Defense vertical is responsible for driving end-customer specification for multiple Siemens business units with primary focus on the Siemens Digital Industries portfolio. This candidate will report to the director of Aerospace & Defense Vertical. This position will require 30-40% travel. Responsibilities • Applies acquired process, product and/or equipment knowledge based on current industry trends, competitive practices, performance, price, and market position. • Designs moderate hardware/software solutions as appropriate. • Completes technical product advice for the development and implementation of customer solutions. Prepares and presents detailed technical proposals, including product demonstrations and product prototypes. • Reviews/analyzes specification costs of installations to determine changes/revisions resulting in lower design/manufacturing costs and increase profitability. • Proposes specific products and value engineering adaptations with cost-effective results, meeting customer needs. • Prepares and presents customer needs plan to Siemens teams to assure complete plan is feasible within cost, time, and environment constraints. • Consults with appropriate Siemens teams in preparation of proposals for complex domestic/international installations. • Works as part of Aerospace & Defense Vertical account team supporting all key stakeholders. • Works with both end-customer technical teams and commercial teams by supporting Siemens account managers implementing specific account strategies.   Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience • BS/BA in technical fields (Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering degree) or equivalent experience, or advanced degree preferred. • 8+ years’ experience in Automation and Digitalization Architectures involving multiple products and technologies with a proven track record of architecting complex solutions • Previous experience in the application/programming/support of Siemens Sinumerik, Simatic, TIA Portal, Sinamics, Simocode, Profinet, Profibus, WinCC SCADA. • Comprehensive knowledge in digitalization and multiple automation areas including PLC, HMI/SCADA, Machine tools, and Additive Manufacturing. • A sound working knowledge of the aerospace industry manufacturing supply chain market and previous experience in the sector preferred • Travel requirements: 30-40% • Where permitted by applicable law, Siemens may require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 based on job requirements, and in accordance with an accommodation based on legally protected reasons. • Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the Unites States, and currently reside in the Continental United States to be considered for this role. #LI-VM1 Organization: Digital Industries Company: Siemens Industry, Inc.
