Sales Communications Manager
Bentley is looking for a highly creative, articulate, and passionate individual to assist in developing the next phase of Sales Communications at Bentley. The Sales Communications Manager will join the Sales Communications and Enablement team within the Sales Operations organization. Sales Operations is responsible for helping to raise the competency and effectiveness of all Bentley quota carriers (aka Sales) by providing and supporting the systems, resources, and training needed to achieve successful outcomes for the Account Advancement team goal. The Sales Communications and Enablement team supports these efforts by unifying and streamlining all sales-related enablement and communications.
The ideal candidate has experience with internal sales-focused communication, marketing, and enablement. The ideal candidate should also possess a keen understanding of the how Sales and Sales Operations impact the success of a technology and/or software business. The Sales Communications Manager should possess a colleague-first mindset to support and drive Sales engagement, education, enablement, and advancement.
This role contributes to the development and delivery of sales communications strategies designed to keep all members of the Account Advancement group (aka Sales) informed and aware of initiatives that impact their goals as well as the overall business’ mission. The ideal candidate will support and enhance the communications strategy by helping to unify comms efforts across groups (e.g., User Success, Product, HR) and adhering to best practices for content development and dissemination.
Responsibilities:
- Design, update, and execute sales organization communication plans.
- Support the management of sales communications and enablement efforts that foster and support the overall mission of the Account Advancement Group.
- Manage the Bentley’s Sales Portal, an internal “intranet” site utilized by all Sales colleagues to access sales enablement and support resources.
- Develop content and support facilitation of quarterly all-hands, executive communications, etc.
- Develop and draft content for distribution across multiple internal channels including the Sales Portal, Leadership messages, infographics, one-sheets, global emails, and more.
- Help design internal-facing collateral / education materials (e.g., infographics, PPTs, one-sheets, etc.) for internal/sales colleague consumption.
- Co-manage the sales communications content calendar.
- Work closely with the Director of Sales Communication and Enablement, VP of Sales Operations, and other cross-functional teams to build and execute communications plans / messaging documents in support of varied initiatives.
- Collaborate extensively with Sales Enablement team colleagues to ensure communications, education, and enablement resources adhere to corporate branding standards and procedures.
- Act as a Point of Contact (POC) for communications from other Bentley organizations.
- Support communications efforts for sales onboarding and on-going enablement experiences through regular interaction with the Sales Enablement team.
- Use available data and analytics to influence business decisions and provide recommendations for enhancements to the effectiveness of existing sales communications and sales enablement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or closely related field
- 5-10 years of corporate work experience focused on internal communications, engagement, and employee experience, preferably with a technology/software company.
- Previous experience supporting sales colleagues preferred.
- Organized, reliable self-starter with strong project management and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva strongly preferred.
- Strong, authentic written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to develop and nurture trusting relationships with cross-functional teams and colleagues at various levels.
- Ability to provide a high-level of customer service to internal stakeholders; including the ability to professionally re-position (or deny) requests for communication.
- Ability to see the big picture, ask questions, and gather and organize information to understand and communicate varied topics of differing levels of importance.
- Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet quick deadlines; Ability to adjust and adapt based on shifting priorities
- Strong knowledge of Office 365 specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; SharePoint, SAP Jam. Comfortable learning new technologies and tools.
*Must provide business communication examples showcasing design and writing skillset (creative, inspiring corporate messaging).
