Job Description

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Scientist Planning System and Process, are to: 

 

  • Design, develop, implement and execute technical projects required for design and development of pipeline and operations improvements aligned with the overarching strategy within region;
  • Develop project plans, deliver ROI and strategic recommendations;
  • Develop project review materials to communicate progress, roadblocks and opportunities against the project plan, drive alignment on remediation, communicate to key stakeholders to drive one source of truth for status;
  • Lead multi-function teams globally to support innovation projects for Precision Breeding, with a key focus on driving planning systems and process optimization supporting improvements of genetic gain and product performance through digital transformation and new technology development and deployment;
  • Support implementation of Precision Breeding Technical innovations within region;
  • Support Virtual Delivery and Logistic projects and team members by being flexible, innovative, persistent and committed to successful completion of assignments;
  • Solve problems independently in the area of expertise and develop procedures to improve processes within business process related topics such as master data and warehouse management;
  • Serve as an expert advisory to management new planning systems and processes;
  • Support the Health Safety and Environment, Compliance, Business Conduct and Human Rights policies and culture.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor of Science with at least 10 years of relevant experience OR Master of Science with at least eight years of relevant experience OR Ph.D. with at least four years of relevant experience;
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects;
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to achieve common goals;
  • Demonstrated experience leading and influencing activities of cross-functional teams without direct reporting relationships;
  • Ability to lead and influence key stakeholders through challenges and opportunities, including facilitating solutions;
  • Results orientation with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously;
  • Familiarity with and a demonstrated ability to perform data analysis with large data sets.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Agricultural Science, Pathology, Genetics, Crop Science, or Product Management.

 

Domestic relocation may be avialable for this role.
