We’re looking for applicants with strong experience in e-commerce operational environments to ensure readiness for large scale Microsoft Store production launches. The successful candidate will leverage his/her CMS platform and technical experience to partner with Engineering and our Planning teams to ensure new and existing functionality has been tested, the teams have been trained and we have the right resourcing to remove risks and blockers for error free launches. This role will help Site Operations achieve its vision of delighting customers by producing flawless online experiences across global markets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead organizational readiness across site operations, including building training plans and training teams on necessary actions for build and execution on product launches and campaigns.
  • Partners with multiple Engineering teams to build and execute dry runs and other testing scenarios necessary to support Digital Store product launches and key marketing moments
  • Build and execute a process with Engineering teams to resolve real time live site or launch blocking issues
  • Manage a COE (Correction of Errors) process if errors in the platform or tools create risk to or negatively impact customer experience.
  • Integrate platform and tool dry runs and other testing into site operations timeliness and ensure that these steps are executed.
  • Create and execute risk mitigation plans should features of the tooling fail during a launch to minimize risk and maximize capabilities as challenges arise.
  • Take a data driven approach to communicate to Digital Stores planning any gaps in features or functionality in our tools and platforms so that these gaps are understood and incorporated into feature planning.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least five years’ experience working with content management platforms in an e-commerce environment.
  • At least three years’ working as a developer or in an Engineering environment.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work cross functionally to drive the implementation of new products and features as well as resolve operational issues.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and turning them into detailed project plans and milestones, and communication of overall project status.
  • Proven sense of high accountability and self-drive to take on and see through big challenges: must be a self-starter and detail oriented.
  • Proven ability to identify areas of risk and mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • A BA/BS degree in a technical field or related discipline is preferred.
