The Calix premise software team is seeking for an experienced Frontend Developer based in Nanjing, China. In this role, you’ll develop the Web for the home gateway, Wi-Fi routers within Calix Development Center Nanjing and U.S. sites. You must have solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frontend framework and also working experience in responsive design.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain the Web pages for the Calix home gateway, Wi-Fi routers, and other premise products, using the HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, and make suggestions and participate in moving the company forward as being an expert in what they do.
• Interact with our backend systems.
• Identify and communicate best practices for frontend engineering within the team.
• Develop quickly and efficiently to meet the tight deadlines.
• Communicate with other team members to determine the best solutions to difficult problems.
• Improve existing code base, architecture and workflow.
• Support multiple languages, vendors, product models.
• Keep an eye on the latest trends to help boost development efficiencies.

Qualifications:

• MS/BS in CS, or related experience with a grasp on data structures and algorithms.
• Previous 5+ years’ experience with commercial frontend development experience.
• Expertise in HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript(ES5/ES6), JQuery, AJAX, DOM, and proficient in developing to W3C standards.
• Expertise working with frontend frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, Angular JS)
• Expertise in web languages and standard technologies, including version control system ( e.g. GIT, SVN), repositories, and build tools ( e.g. Gulp, Grunt). Understand the branch management.
• Knowledge of frontend pre-processing (e.g. Sass, Less, etc.)
• Good JS debugging skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
