Job Description

Come join Intel's Ethernet Products Group (EPG) within Intel’s Network and Edge (NEX) Business Unit. The NEX business unit brings together Network Platforms, the Internet of Things, and Connectivity Solutions into a single business unit chartered to drive technology and product leadership from the core network to the intelligent edge. 

Over the next few years, Infrastructure Processing Units (IPUs) will transform the datacenter architecture in cloud and telco networks, accelerating key workloads while significantly reducing costs and providing improved security benefits to network operators. Intel’s IPU Customer Enabling & Solutions team (ICES) is looking for a Senior Program Manager to deliver software and solutions on Intel IPU silicon.

In this role, your daily agenda will be exciting. On a regular basis it will include but not limited to:

  • Developing processes and methodologies to ensure the success of a complex project, product and release planning, identification of milestones & project goals, creation of schedules, and tracking of all items to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Managing customer expectations, the project deliverables, and projecting milestones (not the people).
  • Driving creation and execution of the program Plan of Record, including Scope, Requirements Management, Success Criteria, Schedule, Resources, and Quality.
  • Taking Responsibility for stakeholder management, including coordination of departmental or cross-functional/cross-organizational teams as well as communicating within the organization, outward to other internal groups and external customers.
  • Acting as a single program voice.
  • Having a strong understanding of customers and the customer environment.
  • Thoroughly understanding of the software development and validation lifecycle including build, release, and compliance processes and how to apply it to ensure program success. Defining and managing the project plan, driving closure on issues and gaps as well as maintaining focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed below would be obtained through a combination of Industry job relevant experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Education:

  • Must have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or in a similar course of study

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7+ years of management/leadership experience in a software development organization
  • 10+ years of experience with design, development, release, and delivery of software products and applications as a team leader and/or development manager
  • 5+ years of software development cycle, managing the release of software components and work package

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in; Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or in a similar course of study
  • Experience in Ethernet networking software
  • Experience in System on Chip development flows
  • Experience with Waterfall, Scrum methodology, and Agile practices
