Determines technical/non-functional requirements, solves problems and technical challenges; by analyzing and designing software solutions including data retention and integration; recommends system controls, protocols and best practice. Ensures quality gates are met for software development deliverables, including code reviews, performance and security principles. Leads system rationalisation, vendor product installation, reverse engineering and builds technical plans. Validates solutions by testing results. May lead virual teams,, works individually or as part of a team. Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using BNY Mellon's standard development methodology. Ensure testing, implementation and documentation of solution. Ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved. Ensures data retention policies are adhered to. Ensures permit to design, build and operate gates are appropriately met Works with vendors and their solutions to ensure robust delivery Provides input into project plans and oversees technical deliverables. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and software components. Conducts analysis of technical/non-functional requirements. Provides oversight of quality gates for software development deliverables. Leads virtual teams and provides mentoring and coaching to junior roles Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions. 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required 8-10 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
