Able to independently onboard investment advisory firms onto the BNY | Mellon Pershing platform to provide financial custody services for client accounts. Works directly with advisory clients to plan and execute a detailed transition project to smoothly transition their firm and client accounts onto our custody platform. Facilitates the set-up of the firm to utilize a wide array of products and services, coordinates opening of client accounts, technology integration and system connectivity. Understands BNY | Mellon Pershing products, services, and transition options available in order to make their conversion from various custodial contra platforms seamless. Responsible for the overall transition project plan, establishment of timelines, and ensuring Service Level Agreements are met. Responsible for the overall success of large, complex transitions and ensures client satisfaction through the monitoring of project quality and efficiency as well as the overall client experience. Provides consultative support of complex situations for internal and external clients. Provides leadership and recommendations for onsite client support and training, assists with documentation, quality review and submission of documents. Leads project management activities for the transition such as reporting, planning, issue / risk tracking, scheduling, effort estimation and coordination and delivery of training. Identifies internal gaps or quality issues in transition processes and makes recommendations for improvement. Reviews control reports to effectively mitigate risks and resolve problems that arise during the conversion process. Marshalls firm-wide resources (product, technology, marketing, compliance, service, etc.) to ensure client transition needs are being addressed, and develops processes to ensure communication and alignment across teams. Ensures activities meet all compliance, legal and regulatory requirements. May facilitate legal negotiation or document review. No direct reports; acts as an individual contributor and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues. Allocates work to and monitors the work quality of others assigned to the client. Leads process improvements based on post-mortem transition analysis. Client interaction is maintained virtually via phone and e-mail in addition to face to face onsite client support. Flexibility for travel is necessary. May support several clients at a time in various phases in the transition life-cycle. Must have strong client service, time management and problem-resolution skill sets to effectively manage transition events and consistently meet deadlines. Direct client facing experience is required, as an important component to the success of this role is in strong and consistent communication.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 10-12 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in securities, financial services or client-facing or project management roles preferred.
