Job Description

The Technology Product Management team at Pershing defines product vision and strategy based on customer needs and competitive landscape. The team is responsible for products throughout their life cycle, and works closely with technology groups to continuously improve the products and solutions.

 

 

Sr. Specialist, Product Manager->> Leads and provides direction on product development and marketing processes for multiple large products. Liaises with cross-functional teams to provide products that address client needs. Leads sessions on the design and development of product marketing strategies for multiple large products. Leads cross-functional sessions with teams such as Development and Marketing. Ensures project is on time and to budget. Is highly familiar with product competitors, consumer trends, and market status. May act as the primary point of contact for small products. Responsible for analyzing, defining, and challenging the product's business case based on team and industry reports. Prioritizes product requirements and further investigates product feasibility. Determines project responsibilities and scope. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives

 

Product Managers conceptualize new solutions and enhancements to products, define the Product Strategy and Roadmap, and promote the adoption of our solutions across the wide range of Pershing customers globally, including broker dealers, advisors, and investors. Product Managers work with a variety of teams for the execution of the Product Strategy and Roadmap and the subsequent Launch and Rollout including - Technology, User Experience, Marketing, Project Management and Business Analysts among others. Product Managers serve as the voice of the customer internally; they articulate the product positioning, benefits, target customers, and promote the products both internally and externally.

In addition, Product Managers are also involved in client engagements, strategic product meetings with clients, product demonstrations and sales initiatives.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, 8-10 years of related experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

We are developing a suite of easy to consume front-end web components that span across our business functions. It is new tech design for a new era of technology integration that demands a seamless user experience, works across multiple devices, flexible and configurable, and low cost to adopt. You can be part of the team leading this innovation!   You will be responsible for:  
  • Defining and delivering on the product roadmap for Micro Front-end Components;
  • Defining a business framework for Micro Front-end Components as a standard;
  • Collaborating with business owners, business analysts, project managers, developers, and quality assurance teams to deliver a quality product;
  • Engagement with client facing teams to market this product and drive adoption;
  • Engagement with clients to discuss Pershing’s overall Integration strategy and Micro Front-end Components;
  • And leading the charge to defining pricing and the support model for your product.
  You have:  
  • A strong product background on building front-end applications and past experience on integrating front-end applications;
  • The ability – in a sometimes ambiguous and fast-moving environment – to harmonize competing requirements and coordinate diverse resources to synthesize them into a unified, effective team;
  • A collaborative, practical, no drama approach to leading teams which enables you to earn the trust of and collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders;
  • The drive to deliver game-changing technology solutions to our clients with efficiency and quality;
  • And preferably, a strong technology background with understanding of the full life-cycle of front-end components.
  You will:  
  • Create and share the Micro Front-end Component Strategy including existing capabilities, competitive analysis, and short- and long-term roadmap.
  • Lead and provide guidance on product development and marketing processes for Micro Front-end Components.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver a full suite of Micro Front-end Components that are easy to consume, meet client needs, and delivers a seamless client experience.
  • Create, maintain, and enforce the Micro Front-end Components standards and promote standards across different business and technology functions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert with understanding of the full suite of Pershing’s Integration products and can assist with vendor and client meetings when required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, internal stakeholders, and executive management.
  Requirements:   
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7-10 years’ experience in technology, digital products is preferred 
  • Excellent negotiation, decision making, problem solving, and influencing skills are required
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are required
  • Experience with building front-end applications preferred
  • Experience in business-to-business technology integrations is preferred
  • Experience understanding client feedback and needs; drawing insight, finding innovative solutions, and articulating them to others to support execution is preferred
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a dynamically changing environment is preferred
  • Prior Product Development and leadership experience is preferred
  • Broker-dealer or RIA experience is a plus 
  • Previous hands on technology experience is a plus
