Job Description
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the SOX Issue Management Program. Responsibilities include maintaining and continuing to enhance the SOX Issue Framework, issue and theme analysis, issue monitoring and escalation, dashboard reporting, and co-leading monthly issue presentations to senior management. It is a critical responsibility of this role to analyze the issue data, identify trends and themes, and then communicate the result of the analysis to Senior Management. Additionally, will contribute to the execution of the SOX testing and reporting process as time permits. Should build strategic relationships to influence at all levels of the organization. Contributes to the development of Control & Compliance initiatives to evolve controls framework, risk management approaches and operational efficiency. Co-leads the execution and delivery of controls & compliance initiatives to evolve controls framework, risk management approaches and operational efficiency. Liaises with other business units to assess control elements associated with new or potential projects. Motivated and guides more junior control & compliance roles. Provides technical guidance and training to less experienced Control & Compliance roles as needed. Contributes to the achievement of team goals. No direct reports. Modified based upon local regulations/requirements. Qualifications Bachelor s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience I required. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in public accounting, Internal Audit, SOX testing, or financial services is preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is preferred.
