Join us in defining our world of tomorrow and creating smarter technology for all! The position is for a Storage Engineer in the Lenovo Data Center Product Group (DCG). This is an exciting role in our most heavily invested and highest revenue driving organization catering to the world’s largest Cloud Services Providers.  We are currently seeking a storage engineer who wants to work on building customized storage solutions for the most well-known players in the industry.  Candidates would ideally have knowledge of Intel x86 Architecture and storage including device/node/ rack/cluster architecture with design and development experience who can work with Lenovo’s Hardware and Software design and validation team. The ideal candidate will bring a “drive for results” attitude to construct innovative value and solutions for our customers. Responsibilities Include: •Integrate and deliver storage HW product at the rack level, including storage server, JBoD or JBoF, Networking switch, Power components. •Design and review the function and stress test solution from unit to rack level. •Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive tasks of storage domain by using Powershell or Python • Responsible for troubleshooting for storage HW and SW issues • Provide leadership and mentoring, and work within a collaborative team environment •Interact with the Engineering Manager, Team Lead, customer, site staff and attending regularly scheduled customer meetings. #### Position Requirements: Basic Qualifications: • Must have 7+ years or more work experience in storage server design • Candidates must possess knowledge of storage server architecture including node/Rack/Cluster and the storage protocols like PCIe, NVMe or SAS protocol. • Basic programming capability with script or other languages • Experience working with customers Preferred Qualifications: • Undergraduate BSEE or BSCE degree • Cloud experience a plus •Proficiency with Windows operating systems. •Understand Cloud Services Providers data center environment and big data center infrastructure is a plus •Cross discipline understanding of engineering that cover Firmware or management software is a plus • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation. • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. • Ability to work effectively cross-culturally across teams in the US and Asia Why Lenovo?
