Job Description

  • Map, build and maintain a network within the label and overall packaging ecosystem. 

  • Help conceptualize & execute the development of strategic plans for our core business and identify potential acquisition targets to support these strategies.

  • Develop and execute focused strategies for expanding our business into new segments/ adjacencies or activating new growth with disruptive strategies in existing segments. This will include conducting interviews & research to understand market structure, trends  and customer needs, in particular in adjacent business spaces & then using those insights to drive adjacent businesses. 

  • Lead regional strategic planning and overall strategy development process, and work closely with Business Development team to develop segment strategy plans. 

  • Increase the organization strategy building on existing standards and further enhancing our strategic processes and tools.

  • Lead cross-functional  teams and build a strong network within our global organization. Partner with internal functions (e.g. Global Strategic Innovation Platform, AP Marketing/Product Line teams, R&D, Finance) & GM/management to gain buy-in and support

  • Translate global strategic priorities into regional execution and work together with commercial team to tailor specific execution plans

  • Identify potential opportunities in Sustainability across Recyclability and Reduction/Elimination across the ecosystem, both internally and externally

  • Link to innovative external companies for Venture Capital / Open Innovation and M&A opportunities in the region. We want to build a pipeline of companies as investment vehicles

  • Be an active contributor to the internal innovation platforms led by Strategic Marketing & Innovation, Global Strategic Innovation Projects and R&D 

  • Develop the talent pipeline for marketing & strategic thinking

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. Masters preferred

  • 10+ years business experience, emphasizing strategy background desired - open to both Corporate strategy and Consulting profiles

  • Demonstrated success in cross-regional projects or initiatives.

  • Strong business development background. Ability to scout, find and grow small businesses

  • Can do attitude: strong personal drive and ability to work independently in multiple environments/cultures and get things done

  • Must be able to champion new business ventures.  This will require excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.

  • Outstanding analytic and problem solving skills with affinity for quantitative modeling including strong excel skills

  • Strong oral and written communications 

  • Ability to operate with people at different levels from analyst to senior mgmt advisor
