Job Description

As an integral part of Intel's new IDM2.0 strategy, we are establishing Intel Foundry Services, a fully vertical, standalone foundry business, reporting directly to the CEO. IFS will be a world-class foundry business and major provider of US and European-based capacity to serve customers globally. We will be differentiated from other Foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge packaging and process technology, committed capacity in the US and Europe - available for customers globally - and a world-class IP portfolio that customers can choose from including x86 cores, graphics, media, display, AI, interconnect, fabric and other critical foundational IP, along with Arm and RISC-V ecosystem IPs. 

Intel Foundry Services is looking for leaders to own the business plan & strategy for our High-Performance Compute, Mobile, Consumer, Networking, Automotive and AMS verticals.

This individual will be a key member of IFS Strategy team and work closely with internal and external partners to shape IFS strategic roadmap including defining various market segments, influencing investment decisions, business model innovation and provide recommendations for IFS product offerings. IFS is a start-up within Intel, offering opportunity to land national and global impact and work with best and brightest. You will have a balcony view to observe the entire semiconductor industry and preview of billions of dollars of investments decision. IFS is offering blank canvas for bold & ambitious leaders to mold and shape destiny of manufacturing in America. 

In this role, you'll regularly:

  • Perform market & financial analysis to assess business size in terms of revenue, margin, wafers, capacity  

  • Build business plan, ROI analysis, gap analysis and provide recommendation into potential business and strategic opportunities 

  • Be a sounding board for senior leaders, business development team

  • Either has or develop deep knowledge of foundry and semiconductor market, technology trends and use this knowledge to develop competitive insights to guide product offering and strategic investments

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess gaps & develop transformative opportunities

  • Develop system level expertise, understand workload characteristics to guide technology development

  • Manage large scale projects from concept to launch, independently form cross-functional teams to gather subject matter inputs and reach alignment on recommendation

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical degree.

Minimum Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Management, Management Consultancy, or similar role in the Semiconductor Foundry or high-tech industry

  • 2+ years of experience in technology market segmentation, market outlook, growth drivers, technology transition planning, customer profiling, and/or establishing success criteria for market segments

  • Fluent in English


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience running a product line or foundry business

  • Deep understanding of system level requirements or workload characteristics driving silicon process technology

  • Experience analyzing and understanding market drivers and implications of geo-political issues on semiconductor demand and supply
