About the Role
The individual will be a key member of IFS Strategy team and work closely with internal and external partners to shape IFS strategic roadmap including defining various market segments, influencing investment decisions, business model innovation and providing recommendations. IFS is a start-up within Intel, offering opportunities to land national and global impact and work with the best and brightest. You will have a balcony view to observe the entire semiconductor industry and preview of billions of dollars of investments decision. IFS is offering blank canvas for bold and ambitious leaders to mold and shape the destiny of manufacturing in America.
Responsibilities:
- Perform market and financial analysis to assess business size in terms of revenue, margin, wafers, capacity
- Build business plan, ROI analysis, gap analysis and provide recommendations into potential business and strategic opportunities
- Be a sounding board for senior leaders, business development team
- Either have or develop deep knowledge of foundry and semiconductor market and use this knowledge to develop insights and guide strategic investments
- Partner with cross-functional teams to assess gaps and develop transformative opportunities
- Manage large scale projects from concept to launch, independently form XFN teams to gather subject matter inputs and reach alignment on recommendation
Qualifications
- All around business leader with experience in corporate development or mix of experience in high tech and management consultancy or deep experience in foundry business
- Structured, analytical, and critical thinking to solve unstructured problems
- Have a point of view (right or wrong) and sound logical reasoning behind it
- Strong written and presentation communication skills to create executive presentations
- Service mindset with focus on solution velocity, thrives in solving complex and cross-functional problems
- Big picture thinking, understanding of market drivers, awareness of global issues and implications of geo-political issues on semiconductor demand and supply
- Familiar with technology market segmentation, market outlook, growth drivers, technology transition planning, customer profiles, establishing success criteria for market segments
- Ability to develop deep quantitative market analysis to motivate investments within Intel Foundry services
- Comp sci or EE plus MBA or equivalent work experience preferred
- Fluency with MS Excel will be helpful as you will be working with large sets of data
