Sr./Staff Application and PQ Engineer

This is an exciting engineering position which requires the candidate has good technical background and extensive customer experience. This candidate will collaborate with internal algorithm experts to develop and fine-tune advanced video processing algorithms, assist system integration and fine-tuning. This candidate will also represent Pixelworks by training tier 1 customers about our cutting edge video processing technologies, delivering knowhow and support the development.

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, analyze and fine tune picture quality of video algorithms; work closely with DSP and chip designers
• Assist system & application development; work closely with System and Software engineers
• Present and transfer Pixelworks cutting edge video processing technologies to tier 1 customers; work closely with sales and marketing
• Understand and analyze customer’s goal and target to bring in new IP & system level requirements
• Assist and support customer development; work closely with customers

Minimum Requirement:

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from well-known University is required
• Good knowledge and/or experience of signal processing, image and video processing, statistical analysis, pattern recognition, and numerical techniques
• Good understanding of display technologies and software programming
• Good communication skill, good presentation skill
• Good English communication skill
• Comfortable working in field & with customers
• Willingness to travel to help customer development

Preferred Skills:

• System integration and tuning experience of video display system, e.g. TV, Tablet, Mobile Phone.
• C programming skill
