Job Location:   San Jose, CA

 

Principal Job Responsibilities:

 

This position is also known as Analog Design Engineer.  Perform lab evaluation and debug.  Design analog circuits, DACs and ADCs utilizing experience with both Low Voltage and High Voltage analog circuits.  Generate & present design review documentation at peer review meetings.  Design and verify new circuits or techniques to meet project goals.  Use state of the art CAD tools to develop and design product blocks.  Perform Spice, Matlab and C simulations for Data Converters.  Participate in product development for Analog/Mixed Signal Precision Data Converter applications.  Determine at the block-level, the technical feasibility, design approaches, and block specifications for new product development.  Leverage existing designs to meet new specifications.  Verify or characterize existing and new designs.  Analyze data from the evaluation of silicon to verify correct functionality accuracy and reliability of the design to specifications.

 

Qualifications

 

Master’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical discipline such as Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Applied Physics, or similar, plus three (3) years of experience involving:  working as an analog lead for mixed signal IC development, managing and distributing tasks to designers; defining circuit block performance specifications and the signals between analog and digital interface, running top chip level AMS / DFT verification with Cadence / Synopsys mixed signal simulation environment and making sure the quality of final product; designing and verifying analog blocks, such as bandgap / LDO / amplifier / comparator / ADC / oscillator; overseeing layout work and working with product and test engineering for post silicon verification and product characterization; designing and characterizing bandgap reference circuit with low temperature coefficient; debugging and designing change solutions on EMI/RFI, ESD/latch up issues; and working closely with digital/system team and delivering detailed specifications & documentation.  May work from home 2 days per week.
