Motorola Product Integration team in Brazil is responsible driving all
milestones from proof of concepts towards successful launch of the products by
working with cross functional teams and resolving all system level issues that
may arise during product development process which includes HW/SW bring-up,
SFN/PTN, User Trials, Feature Development/Integration, Certifications like
IOTs, Field Testing, Carrier Validation, Lab Conformance, PTCRB/GCF, FCC and
Manufacturing process and also Post launch OS upgrades (main focus).
Scope of Responsibilities:
Create and managing the Back-End Schedule that includes certifications,
Validation Testing, Carrier approvals, production ramp
Manage risks for the program, create and drive mitigation plans
Ensure the carrier hardware and software requirements are locked and are
aligned with the product description
Provide Regular Status to Core Teams.
Assess carrier and field test CRs (change requests / bug reports) for
severity. Agree the critical list of issues and drive them to resolution
Agree the minimal set of carrier customisations and define the required number
of product SKUs. Help determine the optimal architecture to deliver those SKUs
with minimal engineering resources.
Ensure regional regulatory and certification requirements are met (e.g. GCF,
PTCRB, CV, implementation of regulatory eLabels etc.)
Support carrier lab cycles where needed, e.g. coordinating resources for in-
lab testing and debugging support
Manage Customer User Trial, coordinate issues triage, provide new product
release to be validated and act as a liaison between test and engineering
team.
Capture and analyse key metrics to ensure device quality prior to launch
(battery life, panic rate, call performance etc.)
Achieve simultaneous and global product deployment
Ensure flawless device launch and consumer delight by monitoring forum and
call center feedback and by driving key post-launch issues to resolution.
Coordinate with all internal Product integration functions.
#### Position Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Product Integration roles.
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Knowledge of embedded systems is essential.
Experience of management/issue triage is essential.
Experience with distributed development and Product Integration
Strong Leadership and communication skills
Strong Project Management skills
Advanced English skills
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP certification is desirable
Knowledge of the Android mobile phone operating system is highly desirable.
Mobile communication knowledge is highly desirable.
