Job Introduction

We are looking for motivated candidates for a challenging and unique project in China starting as soon as possible.

If you are interested in working in the Zhenjiang Area for a defined period of time and looking for an opportunity to grow personally by working together with other cultures, you are our ideal candidate.

This project will cover all aspects from developing a new product, setting up a new site, planning and installation of all necessary equipment, ramping up the production to even taking over responsibility for a defined area of operations. The Stamping Expert will work together with our partner’s stamping team, and support them by transferring Magna Steyr know-how.

Major Responsibilities

• Continuous improvement of stamping process standards, processes and templates
• Support conception, implementation, evaluation and management of development plans
• Process evaluation and countersign of stamping parts
• Review of stamping die tool processes and structural drawings
• Analysis and proposal in terms of technology, quality, cost and schedule issues
• Establishing technical and quality standards for the different project phases
• Creating and checking the matching and monitoring plans of the mold in each stage within the Magna Steyr manufacturing process

Skills and Competencies

• Higher technical education
• Strong technology specific know-how of stamping processes and methods
• Proficient in using one of the three stamping CAE software, Autoform, Dynaform, and Pam Stamp
• Leadership skills to ensure the achievement of the production process targets (Quality, Timing & Costs)
• Working experience of at least one complete vehicle integration as a manufacturing engineer within the stamping process
• Well-founded know-how in project management and problem solving
• Working experience within intercultural teams especially in Chinese business relations
• Flexibility and the willingness to travel
• Very good English skills (written and spoken)
• Chinese language skills advantageous

Additional Information

For this position the yearly gross salary is starting at € 56.000,- depending on specific work experience an overpayment is applicable.

A competitive travel allowance package will be provided in addition.
