#### Position Description:


We are looking for a validation engineer with a solid background in both
storage and data networks for a leadership position in Lenovo’s DCG Product
Assurance team. The role will require experience with Ethernet, InfiniBand,
Omnipath, and other network technologies, as well as FC, iSCSI, FCoE,
RAID/Block based storage, etc.  This role will work closely with both the
development and PA teams in order to lead PA efforts in validation of new
ThinkSystem servers with Lenovo storage and networking options.
Responsibilities will include researching newly adopted technologies, working
with development and vendors, creating test plans, and test cases, and leading
the test teams to ensure quality deliver of new servers and options.
Applicants must have a strong background and experience with the above-
mentioned technologies and practical experience setting up, debugging, or
testing network and storage systems. The role requires the ability to apply
this knowledge to develop effective and efficient test plans, test cases, and
test processes to ensure a quality product release. The candidate needs
experience leading a team, directing daily activities, identifying and
resolving blocking issues with the development teams.

#### Position Requirements:


Job responsibilities:
• Provide validation leadership for Product Assurance validation efforts
• Research and understand new functions
• Develop test plans, test processes and test cases
• Work cross-team within PA and with Development to ensure efficiency and
quality
• Training of new team members
• Identify automation opportunities and drive automation development
activities
• Advocate for develop-for-test requirements within the development teams
• Gather / present status
Skills / Qualifications:
• Fluent English is required (Mandarin is also a plus)
• 8+ years in storage / networking industry
• Understanding of development and test cycles
• Experience in computer / server design validation
• Experience with Server storage
o Internal storage, RAID, SAS, SATA, NVME, ETC
o External Storage SAN, FC, FCoE, external SAS, iSCSI, NVMEoFC
• Networking experience
o Ethernet, infiniband, RDMA, virtualization
o Packet level debug
• Software defined storage solutions (Clarion, Cloudian, etc.)
• Server Operating System experience (Windows, VMWare, RedHat, SuSE)
• Proven track record of successful cross-team, group collaboration to drive
necessary processes and ensure product quality and customer satisfaction
• Automation scripting / programming experience C, Python, java, etc.
• Understanding of automated test and automation frameworks is a plus
• Ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities
