Storekeeper
Responsible for the storerooms and their contents, the storekeeper coordinates with all departments to ensure efficient distribution of goods throughout the hotel and compliance with applicable regulations.

What you will be doing:
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- Maintains records required by regulating authorities including Vancouver Coastal Health
- Maintains an orderly storeroom
- Seeks ways to improve services delivered to all departments within the hotel
- Orders all alcoholic beverages and maintains sufficient par stocks of beer, wine, and liquor
- Orders sufficient foodstuffs and supplies to maintain par stocks
- Researches suppliers' prices to ensure all purchases represent the best possible value
- Researches and presents alternate products to department heads when appropriate
- Oversees all invoices and their submission to the Accounts Payable team
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous experience in purchasing and stores preferred
- Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills required
- Experience with purchasing/inventory software required
- Ability to operate a pallet jack
- Ability to work early morning shifts and weekends
- Ability to recognize common produce and determine quality/freshness required
- Demonstrated excellent organizational skills
- Ability to effectively understand the varying business levels and implement decisions with a high level of attention to detail
- Completely fluent English language skills; both written and verbal
- Demonstrated team player with proven success in relationship building
- Demonstrated a high level of responsibility and commitment
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe working procedures
- Successful candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The Hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Sitting for extended periods
- Frequent lifting/pushing/pulling of up to 50lbs
- Reaching, squatting bending
- Outdoor work in all weather
