The role of the Storeman includes the management of stock and equipment.
Main Duties:
The role involves but is not limited to the below responsibilities:
Create a new Bin location
Transfer parts from internal locations to valid locations
Daily verification and resolve queries from all customers
Physical receipt of all local and imported parts and goods
Verify materials received against supplier delivery notes/invoices/computer prints
Receive stock onto the system utilizing a scanner
Attach GRV’s to correct stock
Resolve receiving queries
Shelve parts and materials in the correct location utilizing material handling equipment
Safekeeping of warehouse stocks
Maintain warehouse equipment
Dispatch rejected parts to local suppliers
Prepare stillages for dispatch
Adhere to Housekeeping, Health, and Safety rules
Attend to required office administration
Attend to daily material equipment checks.
Minimum Requirements:
National Diploma or Higher Certificate in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
Minimum 1-year experience working in consumable stores issuing parts and creating MS Part numbers
Minimum 1-year general Maintenance/Consumables stores in an automotive environment
Knowledge of SAP consumables
Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
