Storeroom Inventory Specialist (1902638) – Quincy, FL

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to maintain the system, equipment and facilities for stores and spare parts management including (but not limited to) ordering, receiving, dispensing, storing, conducting cycle counts, as well as investment recovery, salvage and cataloging of all materials. It is expected that you will be willing to work after hours and on weekends when necessary and lift up to 50 lbs.

Formula for Success

  • Relying on your effective organizational and communication skills, you will optimize and continually improve the stock system (descriptions, Min/Max stock volumes) and recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
  • Leveraging your education and experience in shipping & receiving and in administrative and/or clerical positions of increasing responsibility, you will write purchase requisitions for storeroom material and supplies when inventory quantities are reduced below requirements, maintain necessary catalogs and parts lists as references when ordering materials. Additionally, you will obtain information from operating and maintenance personnel regarding new spare and/or replacement parts to be ordered.
  • Demonstrating your strong interpersonal skills, you will be responsible for follow-up with suppliers to ensure deliveries, mail or tag material as required and store same.
  • Using your mechanical or parts experience combined with your knowledge of goods/services receipts, you will issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
  • Working with minimal supervision and a keen attention to detail, you will ensure inventory is accurate and in its proper location. You will also use these skills to examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to the supervisor.
  • As a motivated self-starter, you will maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse and handle all off-shift service calls.
  • Your solid experience with SAP and Microsoft Office products will aid you in processing customer requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Your forklift driving experience will be essential as you operate and maintain warehouse equipment (forklift).
