Job Description
Role Statement:
The job incumbent is responsible for overall business development for target areas/business/industries through internal and external channels & resources, and for setting up, coordinating, delegating, supervising and when necessary adjusting commercial activities on sales strategic, tactical and operational level and providing feedback to Management Team and other departments. Lead and steer the BD team. He/she performs the job in the framework of the BV HSE Management Processes, BV Quality Assurance System; the BV Code of Ethics and appropriate Group Policies.
Strategic Planning
Elaborate yearly or long term sales growth plan for key market segments/business/industry/BU in agreement with supervisor
Define business development strategy and sales target for key market segments/business/industry/BU in agreement with supervisor
Execute quarterly planning review to analyze quarterly results and initiate corrective actions cooperating with M&S team
Monitor and analyze sales performance (by BU/sales/product/industry/contract scale, etc.) and initiate improvement actions
Keep close eyes on key competitors’ activities in marketing, organization, development trend, etc.
Support for strategic KA operation
Business Development (Commercial Development)
Implement business development strategy and fulfill development targets
Identify potential clients for target business, guide and help sales to follow the target clients
Establish partnership with potential business channels
Provide timely commercial support to sales team
Support to develop sales toolkit and coordinate for its implement throughout China
New Product Development (Technical Development) (Optional)
Seek new business opportunities with marketable value
Responsible for overall performance of new product development in China
Arrange & coordinate resources to find technical & operational solutions for new products
Provide timely new-product-related support to sales team
Customer Relationship Management (Optional)
Work with KA team for coordination & management of overall CRM for key accounts
Deliver various client activities to improve client satisfaction & loyalty
Coordinate and support in processing all complaints/requests from key accounts
Leadership
Recruit, train, and lead the BD team (If applicable)
Support to train and coach new selected employees (individual development, motivation, assessment, feedback, etc.) at director instruction
Synergize with sales team to promote the target business
Lead the sales team when necessary to promote the target business
Reporting
Elaborate monthly reports to forward to superior (incl. market / competitors / customers / key events)
Elaborate reports on business trips
Reporting of incidental key issues
Other tasks assigned by the company
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent level with commercial or technical background
Working Experience: More than 5 years working experience in BD Function and 2 years or more working experience as BD manager or BD leader position
Forecasting and planning, good strategic thinking skill
Excellent communication skills and business awareness
Proven Leadership skills
Good presentation skills
Good English and local language skills
Good PC skills
Good health is required
