Strategic Business Development Lead – China

Job Description

Develops sales strategy and builds industry relationships to maximize penetration and revenue in China large enterprise customer sector. Responsible for calling on technology policy makers to grow mid to long term business. Develops strategic plans to drive use of key products throughout the ecosystem by specifying the products and processes important to key business owners. Influences policy on design and engineering practices through professional contacts and trusted relationships. Key in developing awareness of benefits of using and requiring Autodesk technologies

Responsibilities
  • Develop strategy for maximizing the use of the entire Autodesk product portfolio in targeted industry, including determination of size and buying power for industry customer sets for strategic account coverage. Prospects and prototypes new areas of application for Autodesk offerings
  • Develop and execute "designed in" programs within targeted strategic prospects and value chain / ecosystem. Executes mid to long term strategy to achieve proliferation of adoption in downstream suppliers and group subsidiaries
  • Play an active role in obtaining feedback from customers, partners and field sales teams and relay information to product management to help assess and determine future product requirements and direction
  • Work with Territory, and MMA TASEs on and demand generation activities. Transition proven market development programs to Sales Management team for continued success and broad execution. Serve as one of the key point of contacts for competitive sales programs including partnering with internal and external resources to achieve sales and competitive replacements in accounts
  • Work in direct support of the long-term revenue growth strategies to bring about a cohesive, aligned and integrated sales development plan. Communicate with cross-company constituencies working on industry-related development, marketing and sales components. Establish close direct contact with senior level technology policy makers and develop trusted advisor relationships on design technologies to this constituent group
  • Increase business by driving sales, industry literacy and technical capability internally and externally (work closely with the Channel and Channel Readiness Teams). Works with partners to uncover opportunities for competitive replacement and wider use of Autodesk products
  • Stay current on competitors' strengths and weaknesses to create winning competitive strategies and tactics (Work collaboratively with the Industry Management & Competitive Intelligence team).
  • Coordinates a variety of deliverables to influence decision maker thinking including product specific software templates, white papers, success stories, seminars, and workshops. Create sales assets such as industry solution whitepapers, playbooks and technology presentations. Speak and represent company at events including trade shows. Lead cross-functional teams to create industry specific product templates; leverage pilot projects and prototype applications and generate sales opportunities. Assembles and manages benchmark deliverables
  • Work closely with industry lobbyists to track upcoming bids and legislative items that impact the business

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • More than 10 years of sales experience in software or IT enterprise solution industry
  • Solid major account and channel sales experience
  • Proven ability to close large complex deals with enterprise accounts
  • Strong business planning and forecasting, and organization skills
  • Able to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change
  • Strong learning capability; Self-motivated individual capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with external partners to develop and close business within enterprise accounts
  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment, effective communications skills in interacting with people at all levels
