YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role Strategic Enablement & Initiatives Lead, are to: 

 

  • Work across Breeding initiatives to lead the outlining of strategic milestone planning and communication/cadence and strategy with the organization;
  • Prepare and deliver executive level presentations on crop strategy, strategic initiatives, project status, portfolio, etc;
  • Work closely with various stakeholders to drive alignment and serves as a key representative of the Global Breeding initiatives;
  • Document project charters including Initiative Scoping, Definitions & Objectives, Desired End State, Impact/Measures of Success, Governance and Schedule;
  • Create and promote standard project management tools and ways of working;
  • Collaborate and act to lead across strategies, initiatives, digital workstreams, and Regions & Enabling teams;
  • Have high levels of influence and understanding of how to achieve results in ambiguous situations;
  • Assess the current health of global initiatives, tracks progress against deliverables using project management tools;
  • Partner with the “Head of Strategy & Engagement, Breeding” to govern and influence strategic shifts needed to drive results, impacting the Global Breeding strategy and objectives;
  • Be a liaison with other Bayer communicators, plant breeding experts and others to create unique linkages to develop the appropriate content as well as ensure consistent application of messages and themes related to Breeding R&D;
  • Champion reporting of quarterly highlights that represent Breeding’s progress to the broader organization;
  • Be responsible for leading internal operational organizational projects as submitted to the Strategy & Engagement team;
  • Facilitate data governance best practices across diverse global team;
  • Contribute to Executive presentations through PowerPoint slide creation and editing;
  • Provide leadership offsite support and coordination - agenda creation, event logistics, attendee and executive communications, and content creation.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • PhD with 6+ years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience;
  • 5+ years of manage strategic business projects across a large complex organization;
  • Experience interfacing with global organization or international experience;
  • Strong cross-cultural sensitivity;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Demonstrate ability to learn, understand, and simplify business and technical information to help drive the Breeding initiatives forward;
  • Experience in collaborating across functional and regional teams to drive projects and initiatives.
