About the Job

As a Strategic Sales Manager, you will be responsible for demonstrating sales strategy, leadership and business acumen abilities by maintaining and growing Akamai global top media account in China.

The Strategic Sales Manager will be expected to ensure that maximizing revenue generation within our largest customers. To be successful, you will need to engage in strategic sales strategy and planning, relationship development, fostering executive-level conversations/relationships and exploring and closing all revenue opportunities. In addition, you may be asked to develop the global account coverage strategy for pursuing and attaining additional business from international properties.


Responsibilities

  • Setting the strategy and objectives to achieve the revenue and productivity objectives established in the annual business plan.
  • Developing and executing the annual and quarterly top account plan to reach the business results and maintain the strategic relationship with top account.
  • Leading the integrated account team, including sales, pre-sale, service, channel to drive product consumption and cross selling.
  • Developing executive level relationships within the top account, understand customer’s business goal. Build trust and long-term relationships with clients.
  • Organizing high quality QBR and EBC tour and other High-Level interactions on regular base.
  • Managing records of sales, revenue, and other important data.
  • Supervising account management and strategies.
  • Negotiating contracts on behalf of company.
  • Presenting reports on account progress, quotas, and goals to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in the IT industry selling enterprise grade products.
  • 5+ years of strategic account management, including account planning and execution.
  • Sophisticated personal skill, capable of handling complex customer escalation.
  • Excellent communication skill to marshal internal cross function team resource to achieve business goal.
  • Experience in successfully executing complex sales cycles with Directors, Managers and CXOs.
  • Experience in successfully executing complex sales cycles with CXOs. Formal sales training a must: Solution-Selling and/or Value Selling training strongly preferred.
  • Fluent in English speaking and English business writing.


Desired Requirements

  • Possess strong knowledge of some combination of Internet infrastructure, enterprise software, cyber security, SAAS and PAAS concepts, and demonstrate the ability to discuss them with intelligence and conviction.
  • Proven track record of growing a business and consistently exceeding multi-million USD quotas.
  • Demonstrated sales and general managerial values – ranging from a strong sense of ethics, sales performance, and business integration (direct sales, channel sales, services, etc)
  • Experience at managing and growing 10+M account in the past.
  • Possess strong knowledge of Internet, cloud platform, telecom and networking concepts, demonstrates the ability to discuss them with intelligence and conviction.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong communication skills
  • Inspirational leadership - can articulate a clear vision and set the overall strategy and goals for the business.
