POSITION SUMMARY
- Develop and own strategy for access and pricing as well as value evidence to support the strategy;
- Collaborate with cross-functional team to ensure integrated access plan covers full spectrum of activities needed to achieve revenue-optimal access & pricing.
- Act as a critical link between VA&P, strategic planning, medical and JAPAC/global cross-functional team in strategy, market access, evidence generation etc.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Activities:
- Develop access & pricing strategy and value evidence: Own integrated China pricing and market access strategy as well as value evidence HEOR strategy and deliverables, and drive alignment on access priorities/deliverables across internal clients, cross-functional collaborators and JAPAC/global strategy
- Develop market access strategies and payer value propositions that take into consideration different segments of the Chinese market (e.g., NRDL, PRDL, city programs, out-of-pocket segment, private insurance)
- Maintain expertise on the out-of-pocket segment in order to determine ability and willingness to pay and need for patient assistance programs /innovative access approaches
- Explore the market potential and develop access strategy for the innovative products which are uncovered by government policy and facilitate the negotiation and influence (i.e. commercial medical insurance)
- Communicate with JAPAC/Global: Provide direct input into the JAPAC/global market access & pricing strategy development, reflecting the impact that different access and pricing strategies could have on the Chinese market
- Lead the coordination of cross-function team on access strategy & value evidence development: Take the leadership to ensure smooth coordination and communication on access-related issues with cross-functional team
- Understand external policy and relevant competitive environment: Proactively monitor external environment, customers and competitors to identify opportunities for protecting and improving access
- Build and maintain strong work relationship with HEOR experts: Own the relationship with HEOR experts, overseeing the submissions, negotiations and other interactions in NRDL, PRDL or reimbursement negotiations at national or local level

- Report to VA&P Head
- Cross-functional (strategic planning, medical, marketing, commercial, JAPAC/Global VA&P)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Indicate the formal education, certification or license required and/or preferred. Include the minimum number of years of relevant experience required for the position (where legally permissible).
- 10+ years of healthcare business experience
- At least 8 years of experience in Pricing and Market Access
- Strong knowledge of global payer systems and policies
