Kennedy School invites applications for a part-time position of Counsellor for August 2020.
Job duties of the successful candidate will include but not be limited to the items below :
Student Counseling
- Provide confidential personal counseling for students as individuals and groups
- Work with families as and when necessary
- Maintain and monitor effective referral mechanism, both for teachers and students
- Liaise with the school to ensure effective flow of information
- Employ appropriate assessment and screening tools
Community support
- Identify and respond to trends in student needs
- Work closely with Learning Enhancement Team and Senior Leadership Team
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a talented and accomplished counsellor with the required knowledge, skills and understanding to work closely with an experienced team of educators, dedicated to catering for the needs of all children in their care.
We are looking for someone with a warm personality coupled with strong interpersonal skills, which will enable you to communicate effectively with all members of the school community.
In addition to being an exemplary practitioner and excellent team player, the successful candidate will also be extremely well organised, and possess excellent spoken and written English skills.
Applicants must be a permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.
