Job Description

The Business & Sales Operations (BSO) group is the business center of excellence for cross-business execution performance, planning, and subsidiary operations. The team helps scale execution, drives clear business & market insights that result in Microsoft achieving its business objectives.

 

The person we are planning to hire works closely with the Sales Operations Program Managers (SOPMs) in the Sales Operations Team of BSO and is responsible to support leading, creating and orchestrating processes across all business groups within the German subsidiary and with the Corporation.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

The Working Student in this Sales Operations Program Manager function is responsible to support driving execution across the following areas:

 Support in Customer Segmentation & Parenting work with respective tools in alignment with relevant business units
 Run data screenings & analytics to support business results are landing as expected
 Support in driving Opportunity & Pipeline Management together with sales excellence and sales teams
 Contribute to Planning of Sales Programs in close collaboration with segment partners
 Building and executing standardized reporting while minimizing any custom or ad hoc reports
In this role the person is a business partner to not only within BSO but with Segment Sales Excellence Leads, Sales Managers, Business Program Managers, Business Groups Leads and the Marketing & Operations Lead. The role scales by utilizing standard platforms, processes and tools and delivers Subsidiary and Segment level analytics. The SOPM delivers, reports, contributes to planning and lights up business insights that enable “One Microsoft” planning and speed in decision making.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Required Experiences
 Studying business administration, business informatics, finance/controlling, economics or marketing linked to technology
 Previous internships or activities and already having gained initial practical experience in IT and/or data analysis & reporting
Skills & Knowledge
 Strong analytical skills
 Interested in Sales Excellence, Business Planning, Sales operations and/or Finance
 Delivers end-to-end deep data analysis & “light ups” actionable strategic insights (from data to insights!)
 Fundamental knowledge on business processes, sales operations, and execution
 You love challenges and seek the opportunity to work on new topics and develop further
 Team player but also sufficiently independent to work towards specific goals under limited supervision
 Good communication and collaboration skills
