Job Description

The selected candidate will review and approve documents for protection of the company's contractual posture and adherence to company policy.

The Contracts Manager will have opportunities to advance their own IP management, negotiation planning, contracting, and business development, as well as influencing and enabling GSEM (Global Sourcing Equipment and Materials) capabilities worldwide through participation and leadership of cross- GSEM working groups and activities.

The Contract and Commercial Specialist, you will be responsible for but not limited to:   

  • Outiline and edit contracts for the purchase of goods and services for Intel's worldwide manufacturing supply chain in GSEM.
  • Draft and edit Purchase and Supply agreements (Corporate Purchase Agreements and amendments), technology license agreements, development agreements, collaboration agreements, third-party enabling agreements, product evaluation agreements, IP agreements, and technology agreements.
  • Utilize your business acumen and legal knowledge to deliver solutions that meets Cost, Quality, Availability, Technology, and Environmental compliance targets throughout all phases of the product life cycle.
  • Negotiate aspects of purchasing contracts, statements of works, and pricing for goods and/or services.
  • Provide contract analysis and strategy on key deals and transactions.
  • Use your market intelligence, commodity expertise, and supplier relationships to create supply chain support for critical Intel technology requirements.
  • Be an external-facing role as a technology sourcing expert when interfacing with suppliers and other strategic stakeholders and partners.
  • Manage the relation between the commercial team and Intel legal.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must possess at least one of the following 3 degrees; plus, the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below

1. Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Science, or related field of study with 6+ years of relevant contract management experience.

2. Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Science, or related field of study with 4+ years of relevant contract management experience.

3.. Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Science, or related field of study with 2+ years of relevant contract management experience.

4. Juris Doctor (JD) with 2+ years of experience in commercial and IP law practice.

Expertise Areas:

  • Negotiating complex contracts or strategic deals.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA with 4+ years of supply chain/technical/business/financial experience.
  • Broad GSEM contract/purchasing expertise: Conversant in GSEM Neg Plan/Contract and Purchasing process.
  • Extensive experience in IP management, deal planning, and negotiations across a variety of strategic sourcing situations, NDAs, purchasing contract structures, and collaboration/joint-development agreement certification and/or experience.
  • Multi-program Leadership: Step into a complex situation, assess gaps, set direction, and enforce commitment and accountability.
  • Capable of driving multiple and x-functional projects along with multiple timelines.
  • Supplier engagement/management expertise: Experience working with a variety of suppliers and other external parties across the globe, multinational and private company suppliers experience. Experience working with confidential documents and understand confidentiality obligations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
