Manufacturing Equipment Technicians in Substrate Packaging Technology Development (SPTD) are expected to:
- Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning electromechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans blueprints operating or repair manuals rough sketches or drawings.
- Perform setup calibration and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
Additionally, in this role assignments are semi routine in nature. Work is performed within generally defined parameters and employee normally receives general instructions on most work.
Candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits/skills:
- Judgment and initiative in resolving nonstandard problems and developing recommendations.
- Work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
- Self-starter capable of managing own activities as well as supporting team activities.
- Flexible with handling multitask operations.
- Data analysis problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Communication skills with the capability to effectively communicate with peers engineering and customers.
Candidate should be willing to:
- Work in confined clean room environment spaces for extended periods of time wearing coveralls hoods booties safety glasses and gloves.
- Willing to lift 35lbs climb ladders.
- Spend the majority of time (greater than 90 percent less break time) on the manufacturing floor working on tool sets walking 3 to 5 miles a shift/standing or sitting for 9 hours.
- The candidate should be willing to work a Compressed Work Week Schedule Days.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess a STEM (Science or Technology or Engineering or Mathematics) associate's degree or bachelor's degree or Mechanical or Technical certification or related semiconductor manufacturing with 3+ years of experience or equivalent military training.
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of prior experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Electronics equipment troubleshooting installation repair and operation of wafer fab or assembly test tools.
- Use of electrical/mechanical measuring devices such as multimeters oscilloscopes calipers and/or micrometers.
- Use of torque wrenches/other tools.
Interpret complex electrical schematics mechanical drawings.
- Work on and repair mechanical/electrical equipment systems.
