Substrate Packaging Technology Development (SPTD) in Assembly and Test Technology Development (ATTD) is looking for a WIPCO (Work In Progress Coordinator) Manufacturing Technicians (MT) who will be expected to perform functions associated with clean room manufacturing floor operations in various process modules (i.e. Lithography, Plating, and Wet Processing etc.).
As an SPTD WIPCO MT responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Set up Wafer Handling tools, execute important Lot transactions according to documented specs, Lot Shepherding, setting new Lot attributes, pack and ship of various materials.
- Start of new material, and occasionally support various tasks related to Designs of Experiments (DOE's).WIPCO is a relatively small team and you may be expected to train others when you become proficient.
- The SPTD Manufacturing Technician may be responsible for troubleshooting nonstandard events in the production line and reviewing technological health and stability.
- Your daily work will also include items like preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, spares inventory, and upstream/downstream communication.
- Role model safety and participate in safety teams/their initiatives.
- Follow documented procedures (SPEC's, RFC's, MMS Tickets etc.), be expected to know how to properly escalate any concerns regarding safety and quality.
Candidate must exhibit the following behavioral traits/skills:
- Self-leadership, teamwork, and tolerance of ambiguity.
- Work as a team.
- Partner with Engineering and work on both minor and complex experiments.
- Communication skills.
The TD and Ramp processes can be a difficult transition for HVM experienced technicians as Specs and Business Processes are in a constant state of development.
Manufacturing Technician in this role will be expected to:
- Make improvements to the existing process through shift team leadership.
- Module Team leadership, SPEC ownership, Catch submissions, Improvement Tracker submissions, pass down ownership, General Role Modeling, and by fostering a Engineering and/or Integration partnerships.
- Work is generally complex in nature and is performed within a spectrum ranging from widely defined parameters and limited judgment to highly complex and nonstandard assignments in nature.
- A high degree of judgment and initiative is required in resolving complex nonstandard problems and developing recommendations.
- You will normally receive general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new work.
Candidate must be willing to do and understand:
- Physically the WIPCO MT role in SPTD can be demanding.
- All levels of cleanroom for this position require a full bunny suit.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Wear steel toe or leather boots.
- Automation resources and automated systems are limited, so ergonomic role modeling and ownership are critical at all times.
The SPTD process operates with two factory buildings working as one in order to reach your work areas, you may be required to gown/de-gown multiple times. You may be responsible for operating/maintaining tools on multiple floors, and you may need to walk in between two buildings several times a shift (in a 12 hour period).
This is an entry level position and compensation will be give accordingly. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences .
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess an associate's degree with 6+ months of experience or have the equivalent of 1+ years of relevant work experience or military relevant experience or cleanroom fab processing relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience with one or more of the following:
- Process Control Systems, Design of Experiments.
- Factory processes like plating, wet chemical processing, pressurized gas or fluid delivery systems, vacuum, RF/facilities delivery systems.
