Job Description

Manufacturing Equipment Technicians in Substrate Packaging Technology Development SPTD are expected to:


- Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning electromechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
- Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans blueprints operating or repair manuals rough sketches or drawings.
- Perform setup calibration and preventative maintenance on production equipment.

Additionally, in this role assignments are semi routine in nature. Work is performed within generally defined parameters and employee normally receives general instructions on most work.

Candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits and/or skills:

- Work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
- Self-starter capable of managing own activities as well as supporting team activities.
- Flexible and capable of handling multitask operations.
- Data analysis problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Verbal and written communication skills with the capability to effectively communicate with peers engineering and customers.
- Work in confined clean room environment spaces for extended periods of time wearing coveralls hoods booties safety glasses and gloves.
- Willing to lift 35lbs climb ladders Spend the majority of time greater than 90 percent less break time on the manufacturing floor working on tool sets walking 3 to 5 miles a shift and/or standing or sitting for 9 hours.

The candidate should be willing to work a Compressed Work Week Schedule on nights.

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences .

Minimum Qualifications:


-Candidate must possess a STEM Science or Technology or Engineering or Mathematics Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree or Mechanical or Technical certification or related semiconductor manufacturing with 6+ months of experience or equivalent military training.

Must have the required degree or expect the required degree by June 2022. 


Preferred qualifications:

1+ years of prior experience in the following areas:

-Electronics equipment troubleshooting installation repair and operation of wafer fab or assembly test tools.
-Use of electrical and/or mechanical measuring devices such as multimeters oscilloscopes calipers and/or micrometers.
-Use of torque wrenches and other hand tools.
-Read and interpret complex electrical schematics mechanical drawings.
-Work on and repair mechanical and/or electrical equipment systems.
