1) Leads a highly matrixed, cross organizational team that is directly tied to the strategy development, implementation and acceleration of Substrates Ramp and HVM readiness across multiple substrates suppliers suppliers and factories across various geographies.
2) Ensures optimized and accelerated substrate technology ramp and HVM for Client (CPU,PCH,SoC), Server, 5G and other products across the substrate supply base meeting and exceeding quality, technology, availability, sustainability and cost goals.
3) Influences business unit or cross-organizational strategies relevant to program goals. Drives and influences technology process robustness and stability improvement, quality, yield, productivity improvements, supplier-to-supplier transparency detection and improvement, supplier operations improvement and maximization of substrates capacity utilization collaborating with TD, QnR, Commercial, Capacity Planning, ATM partners.
4) Collaborates with TD, QnR and other partners to incorporate key learnings to future development programs.
5) Manages interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders. Has decision making authority at the program level. Sets direction for programs by determining and balancing the technical need vs business impact of project/program decisions and operates within the guardrails. Is the key interface with stakeholders and leadership internally. Exercises judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches.
6) Oversees identification of tasks and research, dependencies, costs; communicates expectations to core team members. Creates,tracks, adjusts the program schedule. Assesses risks and identifies solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals. Ensures appropriate progress against schedule and takes remedial action as appropriate. Prioritizes utilization of resources with other functions
Qualifications
1. Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of experience or Master's Degree with 7+ years of experience or PhD with 5+ years of experience in either Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or any other related discipline.
2. Strong and evident skills required in leading a diverse and cross organization team, supplier management, analytical and structured problem solving, strategy development and execution, situational leadership, influencing and stakeholder management.
3. Hands-on experience in either Wafer Fabrication, Substrates Manufacturing, Assembly Test or Motherboard manufacturing will be an advantage.
4. Experience in substrate/wafer fab/assembly test technology development and ramp, process improvements, technology ramp management, factory ramp and operations improvements, quality management, data analytics, Statistical Process Control (SPC) will preferred.
5. Fluent communication and articulation skills in business level English, excellent presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate and interact with internal and supplier's management highly required.
