Internship Summary:

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Patient Experience intern based at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical, offering the opportunity to use your creativity to help our staff exceed the expectations of our patients and residents. The ideal candidate is organized and passionate, while bringing a willingness to learn to their internship experience every day! The internship will be 20 hours per week for approximately 8 weeks during the summer starting around mid June.

What our Intern will be doing:

• Learning about what patient experience is in a healthcare setting
• Navigating through reporting systems and analyzing/sharing data
• Through researching best practices, developing educational materials to share with teams around our health system
• Participating in the development of a system-wide Excellence Training presentation, which will directly affect MaineGeneral Patient Experience!

Education:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (Business/Healthcare Administration, or relevant clinical field of study) with intent to have a career in Healthcare

Experience:

• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Previous experience with research, data analysis and reporting
• Proficient with PowerPoint and media presentations
