Your work environment
Primary task will be to plan and execute scheduled inspections and service jobs onboard vessels with two-stroke MAN engines. Will do troubleshooting and reporting aimed at solving engine-related problems, and will train and provide technical advice to vessel crew and owners.
Job Purpose/Role
- Support vessel owners and their crew with technical guidance regarding repair solutions and general supervision
- Prepare vessel attendance prior to job start – this includes arranging relevant drawings, spare parts and other required information to complete the job
- Perform scheduled service jobs, both at our site, and in a few cases, you will be sailing with the vessel for troubleshooting
- Performing of repairs, upgrades of wire installation, upgrade of software, retrofitting of existing installations
- Create full style service reports about executed works with final conclusion
- Traveling on short notice world wide
Your qualifications
- Bachelor/Master Ship Operation Technology, Marine Engineer with around 5 years of professional seagoing experience with two-stroke mechanical and electronic engines
- Have solid knowledge of two-stroke engines
- Trouble-shooting knowledge
- Hands on mentality
- Fluent English oral and in writing
- Knowledge of Chinese a plus
- Team player
- Global Mobility
