What will you do? As a working supervisor, leads a technician team to achieve profitability, growth and customer satisfaction. Develops and directs this service team in providing high end services including On-call, Service Projects and Planned Preventative Maintenance agreements to the building management market. Responsible for health & safety, technician development and other Service activity. Controls service reports, timesheets, expenses and manages resources to improve overall utilization. Performs service agreement at customer sites to ensure that the relevant systems are properly maintained and operating correctly, thus contributing to company profitability and customer satisfaction. Manages emergency service calls as directed during the day and after hours. Review customer needs/demands when on site and advises Account Engineer / Service Sales of any addition activities required. Ensure the required quality and standards are achieved, in accordance with the customers’ requirements and the Company's quality assurance procedures and technical directives. Coach, motivate and ensure best performance from an assigned team of Service Technicians (5-10) to ensure productivity and efficiency levels are achieved in line with set target. Work with the Service Manager to establish labor requirements and staffing levels. Work with the Dispatcher to make weekly work planning and organize tools, equipment or materials as needed. Advise on equipment required and timescales for replacement parts following service visits and ensure no return visits on same problem. Continually review customer needs/demands to allocate and optimize the activities of Service Technicians accordingly (i.e. maintenance visits, repairs, training, demonstrations, etc.) Visit Technicians on site and ensure required quality and standards are achieved, in accordance with the customers’ requirements and the Company's quality assurance procedures and technical directives. Managing “on call” planning Ensure all the necessary information/documentation (works reports, timesheets, etc) is provided by the Technicians to be recorded in SAP at the earliest date. Timely submission of all reports requested by the Service Manager. Ensure all work adheres to the company safety rules/statutory regulations/customer requirements. Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act at all times. What will you need to succeed? Requires three years of college or technical school resulting in an Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related practical experience in building mechanics instrumentation and control or related area Requires a minimum of 5 years of technical experience in the building automation area Good knowledge of building automation systems and relevant standards Proven diagnostic skills – able to systematically identify and resolve technical problems Self-motivated and calm under pressure Good motivational skills and ability to innovate Good communication skills – verbal and written (French and English) IT literate (computer networking/ building automation communication protocols) Valid Driver’s License (essential) Experience in delivering high quality customer service to a broad range of customers Understanding of the Building Code as it pertains to Automation About us.
