• To arrange all the safety equipment in the campus and educate all the personnel for the operation of the equipment.
• To maintain and calibrate the safety equipment as per planned frequency.
• To maintain fire extinguisher and calibrate it on proper interval.
• To arrange mock drill of fire on every twelve months.
• To assess risk factor in the processes and design safety parameters for controlling whole process.
• To be updated about the new changes in all international and local regulatory requirements for Safety aspects.
• To spread awareness on safety parameters across the plant.
• To investigate if any accidents to identify root cause and safety & health hazards are eliminated or guarded.
• To provide safety induction to all staff and workers as per company policy.
• To plan safety & crisis management training for all the personnel and execute the same.
• To prepare and execute the safety manual.
• To arrange fire training for all the personnel in the campus.
• To ensure all the compliances as per regulatory & statutory requirements are met and properly documented from safety aspects.
• To prepare emergency plan and execute the same.
• To organize safety meeting as per schedule.
• To prepare, update and implement on-site emergency plan, safety manual, general information for employees.
• In the absence of Sub-department Manager, Department Head will ensure these roles and responsibilities.
• To authorize personnel to carry out activities, which include welding, cutting, working on height or entry into confined space like tank.
• To stop any activity immediately that doesn’t follow safety parameters and inform the same to concerned department.
• To assess the change control notes on safety aspects.
• To communicate any safety related failure or abnormal notification to Department Head.

To communicate any improvement in exiting system to the management.
