What will you do?

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be part of the operations team that produce leading Research Used Only (RUO) and Invitro Diagnostic (IVD) Life sciences instruments. Singapore being the Center of Excellence for instrument manufacturing and have been enjoying great growth years after years. It is our vison to continue to expand Singapore site and bring out the best in every individual. You will have the opportunities work with your team to drive production output, interact with cross functional team in new product introduction, work on continuous improvement projects and expose yourself in regulated instruments manufacturing environment.

• Lead and motivate Technicians to meet production / repair target.
• Plan and execute activities to improve efficiency, quality and reduce waste.
• Plan and execute training and cross training of the Technicians to acquire new technical skills on new and existing products
• Ensure that systems and procedures are in compliance with ISO9001, ISO 13485, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, FDA QSR21CFR requirements and housekeeping requirements.
• Plan and execute activities with other department to ensure common goals are met.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance on equipment used for manufacturing to ensure that stoppages are minimized.
• Participate in improvement programs (e.g. cost reduction, capacity improvement, work efficiency improvement, etc.).
• Handle/ resolve line issues and when necessary, escalate to the respective engineering group for disposition.

How will you get here?

Education

• Tertiary education in Engineering

Experience

• At least 3 Years in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Supervisory skill
• Understand ISO 9001 : 2000, ISO 13485, ISO 14971 Risk Assessment requirements
• Understand ESD Management and Prevention requirements
• Product transfer experience
