Job Description

Supervisor, Royal Service

As our new Supervisor Royal Service, you will supervisor the operations of all incoming calls at the hotel, while processing guest requests, guest reservations and assisting front office operations in creating a memorable experience for our visitors.

What you will be doing:

  • Consistently offer exceptional, friendly and engaging service
  • Supervise the PBX switchboard (Royal Service) team
  • Provide coaching, support, and training to team members
  • Assist in responding to all guest requests via email and phone
  • Ensure the best selection for the guest inquiring about a room reservations and ensure revenue is maximized through up-selling
  • Recommend property facilities and assist guests with information and special requests
  • Set up billing instructions
  • Review processes, standards, and procedures for Royal Service and Reservations
  • Take In-Room Dining orders
  • Listen to guest concerns and handle concerns accordingly
  • Assist in booking room reservation requests and enter rooming lists as needed
  • Assist other front office departments as needed

 

Your experience and skills include:

  • Diploma or Degree in Hotel/Hospitality Management an asset
  • Previous experience with Property Manager (Opera) and MFR (Opera CRS) systems
  • Previous supervisory experience an asset
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish an asset
  • Previous guest relations experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel
  • Ability to suggestively sell

 

Physical abilities:

  • Exert physical effort in transporting (30 pounds) approximately 100 feet
  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
  • Reach 1-2 feet
  • Remain in stationary position for 6-8 hours throughout work shift
  • Walking, bending, kneeling, use of ramps and stairs

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
