Supervisor of the School Board, Communication Department

The German School Association Shanghai is operating two schools in Shanghai with currently around 1300 students and 250 staff members and is considered the biggest German School abroad of its kind. In order to develop the strategic division of marketing & sponsoring, the new position of a “Representative of the Board – Communication” will be created. Jointly with the “Representative of the Board – Finance & Projects” you will be responsible for the management of the Association in close coordination with the highly dedicated honorary Board of Directors.
Your main tasks:
• Establishment of the Marketing & Sponsorship department
• Cooperation with stakeholders and building a network with stakeholders
• Development of strategic actions and concepts
• Close collaboration with the School Association Board

We expect:
• Management experience and high communication skills
• Degree (business degree with a focus on marketing) and relevant work experience in the field of sponsorship / marketing
• Conceptual thinking and good general education
• High organizational skills and engagement
• Teamwork skills especially in cooperation with the various stakeholders
• Flexibility, curiosity and leadership skills
• Native level of German or English, spoken and written, Chinese skills necessary
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
