You will be responsible to execute purchasing and supply strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and delivery reliability of suppliers and supplied products, ensure execution in accordance with Company and Supply Management (SM) instructions and procedures, collaborate closely with suppliers, internal customers, R&D and other internal and external stakeholders. You will be reporting to Global Procurement & Logistics Manager.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing global EMS and direct materials suppliers (for Operations Centre (OC)), Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) and major suppliers sourcing strategy development, developing new strategies like, second source / dual sourcing, VMI, etc.
  • Getting involved in new product developments, Gate process, etc. to insure the “should be” product prices, driving all kind of possible price reduction e. g. for modules, component, test equipment, SW-licenses, R&D services, consultant activities.
  • Working on contract management and negotiate in terms with EMS suppliers and other vendors, monitoring and driving Supplier Performance through Supply chain improvements.
  • Leading supplier Business Reviews to discuss performance metrics and providing performance feedback, applying and implementing Procurement and Logistics (PL) standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.
  • Creating and updating reports, as required, following the ABB standards, executing and implementing new directions within the area of responsibility.
  • Applying standards on health, safety, environment and business ethics within operational work, contract management and negotiations.
  • Delivering and participating in training programs as required for compliance and professional development.
  • Executing effective and transparent communication internally, externally and between different units and centers, standardizing processes and implementing routines as per Group directives/instructions.

Your background

  • Must have a BA/BS Engineering; minimum Associates Degree.
  • 3-5 years Procurement and Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably from the EMS or Electronics industry.
  • Must be proficient with MS office, negotiation, communication, project management skills.
  • Must exhibit characteristics like being positive, proactive and a good team player.
